Parenting Children with Incarcerated Parents
This group will provide education, support, and skills training for family members who are providing primary care to the children of incarcerated parents. The group will provide the opportunity to process feelings associated with the increased responsibility of care giving. Education concerning the impact of incarceration of parents on children and families will be provided. Skills training in stress management, communication, parenting, conflict resolution, and behavior management will be offered. Training in access of community resources that may benefit family members will be available. |
